The Operations Department is now taking applications for the position of Dispatcher Clerk. All candidates must complete online application at the ECOEC website to be considered.
A High School diploma or equivalent is required and post-secondary education strongly preferred.
The successful candidate must have knowledge of basic clerical and general office practices. The candidate must have familiarity with the operation of office equipment necessary in the job requirements. They must have a working knowledge of basic math.
The candidate must have the ability to read system maps, be able to write in a legible manner and know the basics of preparing and understanding statistical reports. They must have strong communication skills. Must be proficient in use of two-way radio and have the ability to organize work and meet deadlines.
Usual office conditions exist. Shift work is required and rotating work hours. Overtime is required in emergency situations. Works long hours in emergency situations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Radio noise is sometimes loud. This is a safety sensitive position.
