Summary:  Implements and maintains ecoLINK’s marketing strategy and outreach events and activities. This position will work closely with the Manager of Broadband Marketing and Services to provide programs and marketing solutions to support and educate subscribers and potential subscribers on the various aspects of broadband and its opportunities while reinforcing the cooperative’s principles.  This will also include active participation in civic engagement within ecoLINK’s service territory to promote advocacy and strengthen community relationships.

 

Objectives

  • Actively promote ecoLINK services and all products to members of the cooperative as well as non-members.
  • Implement and conduct educational campaigns that promote ecoLINK services to the cooperative members and general public.
  • Promote positive member and public relations by actively participating in civic and community organizations and developing support for the cooperative’s plans, programs, and objectives.
  • Prepare and provide communication materials to our subscribers, employees, and potential subscribers.

  

Essential Functions

    • Be a liaison to organize and attend meetings with state officials along with civic and community leaders;
    • Plan and lead community outreach events and educational programs;
    • Collaborate with community organizations and individuals to increase awareness of our mission;
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders;
    • Create and distribute marketing materials to promote ecoLINK and its services;
    • Manage social media and online presence;
    • Identify new opportunities for outreach and engagement;
    • Proactively seek out partnerships to expand our reach;
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals;
    • Track and analyze outreach efforts to measure success;
    • Plan, implement, and review promotional campaigns to build brand awareness;
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines;
    • Ability to empower individuals and groups with engaging presentations and fostering meaningful connections through effective public speaking;
    • Manage internal communications and maintains a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities.
    • Coordinate and host information sessions for community, businesses and neighborhood group meetings;
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.  Overnight stays will be required; and
    • Perform all other duties as may be assigned.

  

Abilities and Skills

    • Marketing related degree or equivalent professional experience.
    • Must have strong oral and written communication skills 
    • Ability to foster and maintain positive interpersonal civic relationships.
    • Must have strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial focus and a positive attitude.
    • Detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to prepare and present oral and written presentations of complex materials.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university; and two years related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, colleagues, subscribers, and the general public.

 

 

 

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Windows based software for word processing, spreadsheets, and database. Possession of graphic design skills including knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.

Valid Driver’s License
