Empowering Communities: City of Glenpool awarded $44 Million from ARPA funds

The City of Glenpool was recently awarded $44 million in American Recovery funds to replace the city’s outdated wastewater treatment facilities.

The project was chosen out of 1,440 applications to the state of Oklahoma for infrastructure improvements and is the largest ARPA grant given to any municipality in the state.

East Central Oklahoma Electric Cooperative General Manager Tim Smith said, “We congratulate the City of Glenpool on this exciting news and on making infrastructure improvements that will benefit our co-op members and further economic growth in this area.”
