On this month's special edition episode, East Central Electric Cooperative Economic Development Representative Lylah Sparks takes a tour of Watson Farms Meat Processing Plant and Meat Market, and speaks to owner Damon and Robyn Watson about the economic impact their small business has had.

This month ECE Economic Development Representative Lylah Sparks talked to Muskogee Chamber of Commerce Director Angela Wilson about Watts Stirring in Muskogee.

Jared Cooper from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce stopped by the Local Ladle kitchen to share insights about economic development, and information about the state's SITES program.

In our first episode of 2025, we talk to Crystal Campbell, a field representative to U.S. Senator Markwayne Mullin, about the role of energy policy in shaping economic development as well as the constituent services provided by her and her coworkers.

The dishes prepared on this episode are an American Flag Taco Dip and a Red, White, and Blue Charcuterie Board.

The ingredients for the dip are:
1 large can of refried beans
1 large container of chunky salsa
1 16 oz. container of sour cream
1 packet of taco seasoning
1 16 oz. container of guacamole
1 can sliced black olives
6 large Roma tomatoes, diced
2 cups shredded Monterey jack cheese
1 cup crushed blue corn tortilla chips
1 slice thick cut Monterey jack cheese (to make stars)
